About Me

Hey there! I'm Matt Glicksman.

I grew up in Florida and went to college at the University of Florida (Go Gators!). Creative writing has always been something I've loved to do. I've been writing ever since I was in high school but hadn't really considered publishing until I got a little encouragement from my wife and a lot of help from an editor.

The reason I write, first and foremost, is because I love to do it. But I can't explain the joy I get from readers letting me know they've enjoyed the story. That feedback definitely motivates me to keep writing and publishing. The main reason I wanted to create this website was to have an interface for anyone interested in reaching out to me.

About the series

I've loved fictional writing for as long as I can remember. And even though I’ve written a few different stories privately, I decided to pursue and publish The Devil's Gambit series because I became immersed in its ensemble of characters. I really like the idea of giving the perspective from both humans and demons.

I started writing The Twisted Gate back in 2010 with the intention of making a 3-book series. However, by the time I finished the first draft of the second book (2015), it became clear to me that 3 books wasn’t enough to properly tell the story. The current plan is for the series to be comprised of 7 total books.
